Switches fail after a couple of years.
We've replaced our NuTone hoses twice for failing switches. The replacement part used to be found easily and inexpensively, but now you have to buy the "kit". I would never buy a NuTone product again and I'm sorry we bought their central vac system.

much better than my old one of 35 years ago. I especially like the cut off switch and the length.
Nice product
This was a replacement for an original hose. It works perfectly well and does have a switch that turns the vacuum on and off.
