Designers Edge L4700 Twist Lock Photo Control, 120-Volt

Wouldn't Turn Off
This unit seemed like a decent replacement for another inexpensive Woods unit I lost during Christmas. I was using it to turn off my patio Christmas lights, but it never got bright enough, even in the middle of the day, to turn them off.

Twist-To-Lock light control sensor
Since there are no street lights on the block where we live, I had put a yard light in front of the house. After 3 years of proper operation (on at dusk / off at dawn) I noticed that the light was staying on all the time. Rather than buy a whole new light assembly, I found and purchased the sensor. It arrived a day earlier than promised and 2 months after installation it is still working perfectly. Thanks!

It is in Control
Works fine with florescent bulb.

Its light sensitivity is convenient for controlling a area light.

Consider buying it for control of small lights.
