Successfully Added to My Casablanca Ceiling Fan
I added this to my Casablanca, and this switch is now being used to turn on/off the newly added light fixture to my ceiling fan. Works fine, no problems, and I'm happy with my purchase. However, you could probably find something similar in your local hardware store for about the same price.
Saves buying a new fan.
I have several ceiling fans in our home - mostly Hunter - and for the most part they keep going and going, but one day my wife pulled the pull chain to switch off the light and it came away in her hand. For me, normally, this would lead to "buy a new fan time." But I decided to investigate if there is an easier fix... and there was. I came across this Gardner Bender switch on Amazon. I had it fitted within half an hour of receiving it.
It is very easy to install and have the fan working again. My Hunter fans pull apart in the center between the fan and the light housing, so this was a real easy fit with just a plastic screw to hold it in place. Saved over $100 by spending $3.
