Oster AM930B 0.9-Cubic Feet Countertop Microwave Oven, 900-Watt, Black

Please! Where is the 1 minute button on this?
That's my main gripe, besides being a little more noisy than my Sharp microwave that suddenly made louder than normal noises and started smelling of burnt wire insulation. It went AWOL on me a week ago, sob! I miss that one. Into the dumpster it went.

This Oster AM930B 0.9 cubic foot microwave oven is about 100 watts more powerful, something I've noticed as I've been using it initially. It will do a number of programmable operations which I hardly ever use. Each one of them, even a simple operation of giving a warm-up two minutes requires at least three button pushes.

My old Sharp had that really nifty one-minute button which set the time and started it going with one push. Makes many of the things I normally do with a microwave much faster and simpler.

But that's modern life in the post-industrial age: the ubiquitous microchip, when inserted into a basically simple appliance like this, becomes a tyrant. So, if you'd like a microwave with a one-minute...

Decent basic microwave oven
It suits my needs because I only use it for heating foods, not cooking. Its heavy for its size but gets the job done.

UPDATE 1-10-13: I've had the microwave oven for less than a month now and although it still heats fine, the clock seems to be failing. The digits are losing "bars" for example the "9" lost the top bar so it appears to be a "4". I don't know how else to describe it but hope it makes sense to future shoppers. Downgraded from 4-stars to 3.

Good, but not great
Powerful for its size, but the controls are a bit of a pain. I am used to a 30 second button and there is none, requiring you to enter in times. Cooks quickly and evenly.
