Replacement Unit
The unit purchased through Amazon was a replacement for the original installed in 2000. Installation was easy even though you are working in a cramped area beneath the kitchen sink. Since the unit was installed yesterday (09/29/2012),the review is based on ease of installation instead of reliability. Hopefully it will work as well as the previous unit (12 years).
Great & Loving It
I chose a 5 Star because this product was very easy to install with a little help from Youtube. I was really surprised at how easy the old one was taken off then replaced by the new one. I also saved myself around $30 purchasing this garbage disposer from Amazon instead of Lowe's or Home Depot which was great. Definitely a great buy now all I'm hoping for is for this one to last me another 10 years. Kudos Amazon...
Works great!
This item is a replacement in a condo that I rent out. The renters are very pleased with it - they say it works really well and is quiet.
